In its endorsement of Foncello on Monday, the Connecticut-based political action committee for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) wrote, “you will be committed to the needs of thousands of Main Street small businesses and their employees in Connecticut when you are elected to serve in Hartford.”

NFIB is the leading small-business association in the nation with thousands of members in Connecticut representing a cross-section of the state's economy. For more than 75 years, NFIB has advocated on behalf of America’s small and independent business owners, both in Washington, D.C., and in all 50 state capitals. NFIB is nonprofit, nonpartisan, and member-driven. Since its founding in 1943, NFIB has been exclusively dedicated to small and independent businesses and remains so today.

“I’m proud to stand with small businesses and to vote on legislation with them in mind. I also proposed a bill earlier in the year that would have repealed the state’s Truck Tax, which drives up the cost of food and other everyday items businesses and households use,” said Foncello, who represents the 107th House District serving residents of Brookfield, Bethel, and Newtown. “As a member of the Early Childhood Caucus I was also pleased to support a bill to bolster that workforce. Child care providers enable parents to give their undivided attention to their jobs, growing the economy.”

Foncello, of Brookfield, is a member of the committees on Appropriations, Aging, and Education.. For more information about Foncello or his platform, visit https://foncellofor107th.com/ or https://www.facebook.com/foncellofor107th/.
