St. Joseph School First and Seventh Graders Send Joy Around the World

St. Joseph School First and Seventh Graders recently completed a service project as they participated in Operation Christmas Child.

Operation Christmas Child is a program run by the international relief organization, Samaritan’s Purse. With the help of their teachers, Mrs. Vitetta and Mrs. Benzing, first and seventh grade students at St. Joseph School worked together to pack shoe boxes filled with a variety of items for children ages 5-9. Shoeboxes were filled with school supplies, small toys, hygiene items, and accessories. Students wrote personal notes to include in the boxes and made wrapping paper to cover the boxes.

The shoe boxes are sent to children in need throughout the world.

The first and seventh graders, along with their teachers, felt the true Christmas spirit as they were able to spread joy through giving.
