St. Joseph School Students Play "Easter Bunny" for Local Shelter

On Easter Sunday, guests at Danbury's Dorothy Day Hospitality House received some special treats from the SJS "Easter bunnies."

On Easter Sunday, 200 guests at Danbury’s Dorothy Day Hospitality House received goody bags courtesy of 1st and 7th grade students at St. Joseph School, Brookfield. The Easter themed goody bags were filled with a variety of treats including Peeps, Easter eggs, jellybeans, chocolate bunnies and lots of other Easter favorites! Students in Mrs. Vitetta’s and Mrs. Benzing’s 1st and 7th grade classes provided all the treats and assembled the goody bags themselves. Along with the goody bags, students donated ten bags of groceries! SJS students enjoyed playing the “Easter bunny” and spreading a message of joy and hope to those in our community who need it the most.
