Tax Increase Proposed in Brookfield in First Selectman's Budget

Steve Dunn presented his recommended spending plan this week to the Board of Finance.

BROOKFIELD, CT - First Selectman Steve Dunn is proposing a $63.1 million budget for next year, an amount that is 3.19 percent above this year's allocation.

The proposal also carries a tax increase of 2.26 percent to $26.28 per $1,000 of assessed property value, reports the News-Times.

Dunn presented his proposed spending plan to the Board of Finance this week, which will review the proposal before voting on it in the spring.
