
Valerian “Larry” Kodz, 83, of Brookfield, beloved husband of Frances (Ptak) Kodz, died at New Milford Hospital on Wednesday, May 4. He was born in Danbury on September 2, 1927, son of the late Michael and Sophie (Gryczka) Kodz.
Larry was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked as a mechanical technician for Perk & Elmer for 35 years.
Upon retirement, he spent 12 years working for Silver Springs Country Club in Ridgefield.

In addition to his cherished wife, Frances, he will be sadly missed by his son, Joseph Kodz and his wife, Elizabeth of Simsbury; his two grandchildren, Timothy and John; and his sister, Amelia Kowalczyk of Burlington; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, Brookfield, on Monday, May 9, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Frances Xavier Cemetery in New Milford.

The family will receive friends at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, on Sunday between the hours of 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
