Margarete Lewerenz, 88, Brookfield, wife of the late Paul Lewerenz died on Tuesday, June 11 at her home. She was born Nov. 28, 1924 in Rammersweier, Germany, daughter of the late Wilhelm and Margaretha (Henn) Ehrhard.
Margarete worked at Bardens for over 40 years. She loved animals and was a volunteer at New Milford Animal Welfare. Margarete loved her grandchildren and especially her one great granddaughter. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Margarete is survived by her daughters, Anne Marie Cardillo and her husband Gary of Danbury and Patricia Lewerenz of Farmington; three grandchildren, Sarah Scozzafava and Seth Cardillo of Danbury and Melissa Morris of Farmington; as well as her great granddaughter, Skyla Larsen of Farmington.
Funeral Information
A Graveside service will be private and at the convenience of the family. Cornell Memorial Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
