WEATHER UPDATE: Flood Watch, Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued
Hazardous weather is possible today in Brookfield and there is also a flood watch in effect until 9 p.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a “Flash Flood Warning” until 3 a.m. Friday morning and also a “Hazardous Weather Outlook” for the entire state of Connecticut. There is a chance of thunderstorms and flooding today and more possibly on Thursday.
For Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex and New London counties the weather advisory states that showers and thunderstorms could develop this afternoon and evening and could produce locally heavy rainfall with a chance of flash flooding.

And more thunderstorms are forecast for Thursday during the day and evening, and there is also a chance of flooding then as well.
As for the timing of the stormy weather, the National Weather Services writes it’s possible anytime after 9 a.m. today and could occur up until 3 a.m. Temps will be in the high 80s to low 90s in the area.

On Thursday, stormy weather is predicted after 2 p.m.
Some of the storms could be strong to severe, but the weather service writes that will be a very isolated case.
Stormy weather is forecast to possibly occur between 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
