Well Adjusted Now Offers Dry Needling and Cupping!
As our office continues to grow so do our services!
Dr. Deb from Well Adjusted, LLC Chiropractic Wellness Center is certified in "Dry Needling"! Dry needling uses small filament needles, same as acupuncture, but does not use the same Chinese medicine theory and it's considered "Western Medical Acupuncture." This technique focuses on trigger points, muscle and fascia points helping with muscular, skeletal and neurological conditions. It has risen in the past 15 or so years among health care professionals as well as those receiving the technique. Dry needling can help to improve pain control, increase range of motion, eliminates or decreases trigger points within the muscles, resets muscle tone and more. It is very popular within the athletics as well as the rest of the population. Just some of the conditions dry needling can help with:

- Shoulder pain

Dr. Deb will be incorporating the cupping technique into her treatments, depending on the individual and it being appropriate. The theory of cupping is to help with blood flow into an area and help with lymphatic drainage. This technique is different than other types of treatment as this distracts the tissue rather than compression like most others. Many people have the image of those really dark circles that had been seen on Michael Phelps during the Olympics. This is not always the case. The cups can also be placed on an area and used in a series of exercises.
