According to the CDC children ages 6-17 need a minimum of 60 minutes per day of exercise. This should include aerobics (walking/running), muscular strengthening (gymnastics is the first recommendation on their list), and bone strengthening (activities such as jumping (gymnastics again). It is vital for your child’s physical and mental health for them to participate in a physical activity after they spend the day sitting in school!!
Although gymnastics is a spectacular Olympic sport, it can also be used to supplement strength, movement, flexibility, coordination, and balance in every other sport. It is the basis strengthening the body in all ranges of motion. A child who practices gymnastics will be stronger in positions another athlete will not be which gives them an athletic advantage as well as a an extra barrier when it comes to getting injured!
We offer both tumbling/gymnastics and fitness classes for school aged children. Our classes are designed to challenge each individual to learn in a safe environment while always celebrating how far they have progressed! Whether a child dreams to be an Olympic gymnast or just need to get out and move we have an appropriate program for them that will teach them great work ethic, how to set goals, how to interact with new peers, & how to persevere through difficulty all while improving their skill technique, strength, and confidence!

Our classes are small (max: 7) to encourage learning and all students are given individualized attention! We have specific strengthening classes for cheerleaders, gymnasts, and dancers, as well as general flexibility classes, fitness classes, and tumbling classes for all ages and abilities.
Our new four week session begins the first week in September and we are actively collecting registration! On top of all the benefits mentioned above, it is not every day a child gets to learn from an Olympic gymnastics coach or fitness World medalist ;)
