“Manic Monday” mode was in full effect by late morning as snow showers began to fall on Brookfield. Roads were slippery in most of the state, causing more than 40 to be injured in a bus rollover on I-95 in Madison.
Locally, road became slippery by 11 a.m.
The National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Fairfield County which remains in effect through 6 p.m. Monday night.
Forecasters predict heavy snow for Southeast Connecticut Monday with up to 3 - 5 inches of snow accumulation possible when the storm is over. Temperatures will be in the 30s with wind gusts of up to 30 miles per hour and poor visibility. Hazardous travel conditions are expected.
