5 Arrested in Canton in Connection With Car Burglaries

CANTON, CT - Two Hartford men, two New Britain men and a 17-year-old were arrested Sunday morning following a series of car burglaries, WTIC News Talk 1080 reported.

The suspects had abandoned a car, later determined to have been stolen from New Hartford, near Breezy Hill Road and Old Mill Drive and fled into a wooded area. They were captured near Route 44 some time later, the station reported.

Charged with various offenses are Michael Orozco, 20, of Hartford, Jose Mena, 18, of Hartford, Jamie Patterson, 18, of New Britain, Paul Anthony Lavan, 18, of New Britain and the unidentified juvenile.
