Addicted Love Ones Support Group
Catalyst Counseling of Connecticut, LLC will be offering a support group for individuals who have loved ones struggling with addiction
On Wednesday April 20th from 6:45-7:45pm, the counseling center will be offering a support group for the sometimes called "enabler", designed to offer support for those who have a loved one suffering from a substance abuse or dependence disorder. This group is facilitated by a licensed drug and alcohol therapist. Learn healthy coping tools, strategies for discontinuing enabling behaviors, setting and maintaining appropriate boundaries, how to prioritize and meet your own neglected needs, and gain support from peers as well as resources for drug and alcohol recovery resources. What to do in the event that a loved one is suspected of overdose/over-intoxication will also be discussed. Coffee, tea, spa water, and a light refreshment will be offered.
