Canton Connections After-School Program Has Openings
AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM (CANTON CONNECTIONS) HAS OPENINGS FOR STUDENTS

There are still some openings for students on Wednesdays in the wonderful after-school program called Canton Connections. Established in the fall of 1997, it remains an exciting, safe and welcoming environment for children in grades 1 – 3. The program is in session, two days a week, Wednesdays and Thursdays, at Trinity Episcopal Church, River Road, (school bus transports children from Cherry Brook Elementary School) from 3:45 to 5:45 p.m. Typically, children may attend one day or both days. The current session runs through November 20th. The program is staffed by trained adult volunteers and teen mentors who work with the children in small groups developing social skills, problem solving strategies and building self-esteem.
So come play with us!! See old friends and make new friends!! Join us for activities like:
• Outdoor recreation (weather permitting – soccer, scavenger hunts, four square, etc.)
• Indoor activities (balloon volleyball, guessing games, cooking, arts & crafts, etc.)
• Special project of the week (Past winter session – built a ski village with battery operated lights)
• Homework help and informal tutoring
