American Family Care Hosts Grand Opening Reception in Torrington
More than 50 Local Officials, Business Leaders and VIP's Attend Ribbon Cutting Reception
American Family Care Urgent Care (AFC) Owners Tom Kelly and Ron Krippner officially opened their seventh Connecticut location with a ribbon cutting ceremony in Torrington on March 14th. Afterwards, Torrington Mayor Elinor Carbone, members of the Northwest Connecticut Chamber of Commerce, and over 50 invited healthcare professionals and business leaders, enjoyed a reception with gourmet refreshments.
“Our team had a fantastic time meeting people from all facets of Torrington as we have a very local focus with plans to work collaboratively with medical professionals and businesses in town,” said Kelly. “Our goal is to make a positive contribution to the region and to the future of Connecticut’s healthcare landscape. Our entire staff embraces our mission to create the best care experience that our patients have ever had.”
AFC Urgent Care Medical Director Dr. Iftikhar Ali conducted tours of the facility at 1171 East Main St. that provides convenient, superior treatment for injuries and illnesses at a lower-cost than a hospital emergency room.

“We are thrilled to be treating people in this area,” said Dr. Ali. “Our state-of-the-art equipment & lab provide fast and accurate testing to help us offer quality care in under an hour. And the kids will love seeing a T.V. in every exam room!”
AFC of Torrington is open Monday through Friday from 8 am-8 pm and weekends from 8 am-5 pm. No appointment is required and care is dispensed with the utmost quality and efficiency.
