Canton Seeks Local Groups, Classic Cars For Memorial Day Parade

Canton this week said it seeks parade participants for the May 25 event in Collinsville.

CANTON, CT — The Canton Memorial Day Parade Committee is inviting civic, youth, and sports groups to take part in the town’s Memorial Day parade on Monday, May 25, with options to march or participate with floats or vehicles.

Classic and antique vehicles are also welcome.

The parade will assemble at 9:30 a.m. and step off at 10 a.m. from the Canton Community Center.

The route will travel along Dyer Avenue and Maple Avenue through Collinsville, ending at the Collinsville Cemetery, where a memorial service is planned.

Participating groups are asked to form up in the driveway of Canton Intermediate School on Dyer Avenue.

Classic and antique vehicles should line up in the Community Center parking lot behind vehicles carrying veterans.
