Police officers will be stationed along Route 202 beginning at 7 p.m. to assist with traffic control and pedestrian crossings during the event.

Officials encouraged motorists to plan ahead and consider alternate routes if traveling through the area during the festivities.

Police also reminded attendees not to park in private business lots not affiliated with the event, warning that unauthorized parking can disrupt local businesses and event operations.

Drivers were urged to use caution, remain alert for pedestrians, and drive slowly in the area surrounding the fireworks show.

The Collinsville Volunteer Fire Department’s annual "Collinsville Jamboree" returned this week with four nights of carnival rides, games, food and entertainment at Memorial Field in Canton.

The event started Monday, May 20, and continues through Saturday, May 23, from 6 to 10 p.m. nightly at 91 Powder Mill Road.

Organizers said the jamboree features carnival rides, midway games, food vendors, and a beer and wine garden. A fireworks display is scheduled for approximately 9 p.m. during the event.

Live music by Acoustic Marshpit is planned for Saturday evening.

Ride bracelets are priced at $35 per night, according to organizers. Parking costs $5 on Friday, while donations will be accepted for parking on the remaining nights.

The annual event serves as a community fundraiser for the Collinsville Volunteer Fire Department and regularly draws residents from across the Farmington Valley.
