CANTON, CT — Canton Friends for the Arts has awarded scholarships to three Canton High School seniors in recognition of their achievements and contributions in the arts.
The nonprofit organization announced June 5 that Patrick Davis, Alexis Moreland and Lilyen Steinmann were selected as the recipients of its 2026 scholarships.
The awards recognize students pursuing excellence in visual arts, drama and music.
Organization officials said the recipients were chosen for their accomplishments and dedication to the arts during their time in the Canton Public Schools.
"Canton Friends for the Arts was thrilled to offer three scholarships to our very deserving seniors this year in arts, drama and music," the organization said in a social media announcement. "We are very proud of the 2026 winners."
The organization also encouraged community members to congratulate the students and wish them success in their future endeavors.
Canton Friends for the Arts is a volunteer-run nonprofit organization that supports visual, musical and dramatic arts programs throughout the Canton Public Schools. Formerly known as Canton Parents for Music, the group serves as a booster organization for arts education from kindergarten through 12th grade.
The organization provides financial support and advocacy for arts programming, helping enhance educational opportunities for students across the district.
