CANTON, CT — Canton election officials will conduct testing of voting equipment and ballots on Thursday, July 30, ahead of Connecticut's Aug. 11 primary elections.
The ballot testing is scheduled for 10 to 11 a.m. in the Registrar of Voters Office at Canton Town Hall, 4 Market St.
According to the town, the testing will cover all ballots that will be used in the Democratic and Republican primaries.
Pre-election ballot testing is conducted to verify that voting equipment accurately records and tabulates votes before ballots are used on Election Day.
The process helps ensure the accuracy and reliability of the town's election equipment.
