CANTON, CT — "Wonder" will officially open its newest Connecticut location Thursday, Oct. 1, at The Shops at Farmington Valley, offering customers food from more than 20 restaurant concepts in a single order.
The mealtime platform will occupy a location at 110 Albany Turnpike in Canton (Route 44), marking Wonder's 10th Connecticut location.
Customers can mix and match dishes from different restaurants and cuisines in one transaction for dine-in, pickup, or delivery. Wonder says delivery is offered with no delivery fee.
The Canton lineup will include concepts featuring food from chefs Bobby Flay, Marcus Samuelsson, Michael Symon, and James Beard Award winner JJ Johnson, along with brands including Tejas Barbecue, Magnolia Bakery, and Smashburger.
"Wonder is bringing a completely new dining experience to the Farmington Valley, and we want everyone to feel comfortable trying it," Elizabeth Ackerman, general manager of The Shops at Farmington Valley, said.
Ackerman said staff will be available to help customers place orders and navigate Wonder's technology, including people who may be less comfortable with app-based ordering.
Before the official opening, Wonder will hold a soft opening Monday, Sept. 28, through Wednesday, Sept. 30. Customers can reserve limited time slots and receive up to $15 off a qualifying order of at least $10.
The official grand opening is Thursday. According to promotional information from The Shops at Farmington Valley, the line will begin forming at 10 a.m., with grand opening activities beginning at 10:15 a.m. The first 100 people in line will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a $250 Wonder gift card.
The first 100 qualifying orders of at least $10 will also receive a gift with purchase while supplies last.
Wonder's regular hours in Canton will be 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
The Shops at Farmington Valley is an open-air shopping center on Route 44 in Canton with more than 45 stores and restaurants.
