Area Attorney Explains Probate Process at Canton Library

Free program called 'Settling an Estate with Attorney Brendan Daly' comes to the library Tuesday, February 5 at 6:30 pm

You’re an executor? Not sure you understand what probate is? You’re not alone! On Tuesday, February 5, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Canton Public Library will offer a free program called Settling an Estate with Attorney Brendan Daly.

The probate court oversees an orderly transfer of assets from the deceased to his or her beneficiaries. Attorney Brendan Daly, who specializes in estate planning and elder law, will explain how the probate process works and review important steps to administer an estate. Learn about living trusts and how these tools can help avoid probate. And finally, learn about some of the potential pitfalls in the process and how careful planning can avoid them.

Attorney Daly, an expert in elder law with the firm of Czepiga, Daly, Pope & Perri, has presented several popular library programs in the past so registration is suggested to provide enough seating. Canton Public Library is located at 40 Dyer Avenue in Canton. For information please call (860) 693-5800, email kbunn@cantonpubliclibrary.org, or visit www.cantonpubliclibrary.org.
