Bearded Villains New England raises $6896 for FOCUS Center for Autism

The Saints raise money for Connecticut autism school in Canton

Torrington, Conn. - On January 29, 2017, the Bearded Villains’ New England chapter known as The Saints held a Pasta & Meatball Benefit Dinner at Chatterley’s Banquet Facility in Torrington, CT raising $6896.00 for FOCUS Center for Autism Fresh Start School located in Canton, CT.
Ric McAllister, Bearded Villains event organizer, was instrumental in choosing FOCUS as the recipient of the fundraiser. Over 200 people attended the event including Bearded Villains members from all over New England. Sponsors for the event included Authentic Renovations LLC, Turning Point Realty, Chatterley’s, Northwest Cleaning LLC, The Saints, Lowe’s, and Firemen Fuel.
The Bearded Villains is a brotherhood of men whose mission is to “to unite bearded men of all cultures, races and creed in a brotherhood devoted to loyalty, honor and respect toward all peoples; dedicated to the betterment of mankind through fraternity, charity, and kindness.”
FOCUS Center for Autism is a grass roots, community based non-profit organization that for sixteen years has been providing clinical and academic services, family supports and community education to the Connecticut autism community. The Fresh Start School is a private approved special education program offering children ages 11-18 with Autism Spectrum and other related disorders a quality education experience that addresses the academic, clinical, and social goals of each child.
