Bill Benson to Release Debut Album "This Old House"
Folk singer-songwriter Bill Benson, winner of the 2013 Northwest Idol competition, to release "This Old House" on September 24th.
Canton resident Bill Benson, winner of the 2013 Northwest Idol competition, is set to release his much-awaited debut studio album, “This Old House”, on September 24th. His award-winning vocals and blend of folk, country, and soft rock songs from the new album will be presented at two album release concerts.
On Friday, September 25th at 8pm, Bill will perform at The Buttonwood Tree Performing Arts & Cultural Center in Middletown with internationally touring Australian singer-songwriter Marta Pacek. Tickets are $12 advance, $15 door. On Saturday, September 26th at 7pm, Bill will perform at LaSalle Market in Collinsville, suggested donation of $10. “This Old House” tells the story of Bill’s life and musical evolution, capturing current writings as well as his first song written at age 16. His musical journey began as a child but obligations of life pulled him away, leaving him dreaming about his perfect love - music. In recent years, Bill met the muse who reinspired him to write and play music again. Bill now performs in intimate concert halls where his music draw listeners into the songs, evoking a mood that pulls you into the moment and offers retreat from life’s day to day chaos. Plans for his album release tour are underway.
