In the 250th year of our nation and our 94th year as an American brand, we’re celebrating our namesake: a Revolutionary War hero with a pioneering legacy. Ethan Allen was born in Litchfield, CT, less than 40 miles from where our corporate headquarters is now. Like many Americans, had a vision for a better life—and led the people of his state to a future that would not have been possible without their collective grit, spirit, and innovation.
In 1771, he organized the Green Mountain Boys, and in 1775, they captured Fort Ticonderoga. Following the end of the American Revolution, Ethan Allen advocated for Vermont, helping his new home become one of the first United States of America. Join us as we honor the story of our namesake, our nation’s 250th year, and our legacy as a proud American brand.
