On Campus - Canton College Students

CANTON, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• Many Eastern Connecticut State University students participate in Eastern's clubs during the academic year. The student club programs range from social to educational, physical to spiritual and civic engagement programs that benefit and enrich the Eastern community. Participants during the fall 2017 semester from Canton were Alexia Bohnenkamper, Eastern Mappers Club, Environmental Earth Science major; and Skylar Soderberg, Gamer's Guild, Biology major.

Wheaton College, Wheaton IL

• Wheaton College student Emily Guersch of Collinsville performed in the Symphonic Band's winter concert, directed by Dr. Timothy Yontz. Guersch played clarinet. She also performed in "North, South, East, and West," the spring 2018 Symphony Orchestra concert. The concert included music from Norway, South America, China, France and the United States.
