CANTON, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Ithaca College, Ithaca NY

• Ithaca College congratulates students named to the Dean's List for the spring 2018 semester. The following students from Canton were named to the Dean's List: Hope Hiza, Will Carlson and Kasey Charron.

Muhlenberg College, Allentown PA

• Emily Mitchell and Emma Charron, both of Canton, were named to Muhlenberg College's Dean's List for the spring 2018 semester. Students with a term GPA of 3.50 or higher were recognized for their academic achievement.

Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester NY

• Deryk Parsons of Canton graduated from RIT with a BS in chemical engineering. RIT conferred 4,747 degrees this academic year at all its campuses-including in Croatia, Dubai, Kosovo and China. The university held its 133rd annual commencement celebration in May.

University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa AL

• Alexa Marie Huff of Canton was named to The University of Alabama Dean's List for spring 2018. A total of 11,347 students enrolled during the 2018 spring semester at UA were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 or above or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students.
