- WHEATON, IL — Wheaton College student Emily Guersch recently performed in "Love Divine," the 2016 Christmas Festival presented by the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music. Guersch, of Collinsville, played clarinet with the Symphonic Band.
- KEENE, NH — Keene State College Women's Cross Country student-athlete Emily Jarka has been named to the Little East Conference Academic All-Conference team. Jarka is a native of Canton, majoring in Elementary Education. To be named a Fall All-Academic awardee, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.3 or higher through the 2016 spring semester and be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. The student-athlete must also be a full-time member of a varsity sport and be enrolled in its institution for a full academic year.
- LA MIRADA, CA — Steven Guersch was named to Biola University's Dean's List for academic excellence for Fall 2016. Guersch, from Collinsville, was one of 1,575 students who were named to the Dean's List. Biola students are placed on the Dean's List to honor those with a grade point average of 3.60 or higher while enrolled in 12 or more credit units and whose cumulative grade point average is at least a 3.20.
