CANTON, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

College of Saint Rose, Albany NY

  • Abigail Sevigny, of Canton, was recognized by The College of Saint Rose on March 24, 2018, at the annual Honors Convocation. Sevigny received the Outstanding Senior in Social Work Award. The award recognizes graduating seniors who have at least a 3.50 GPA and who meet other criteria specified by the departments in which they study.

  • Daniel Delos of Canton has been inducted into the Alexander Graham Bell (AGB) Honor Society, one of 53 students inducted during ceremonies on the Curry College campus. The Alexander Graham Bell Honor Society is one of Curry's most distinguished organizations. Membership in the Society is limited to 10 percent of the senior class and five percent of the junior class, and all members must have a minimum 3.5 GPA overall and the required number of graded credits. For Continuing Education students, membership is limited to members of the graduating class who have achieved a minimum 3.5 GPA and completed a minimum of 45 classroom credits at Curry College. Students must also be active citizens either at Curry or in their local communities.
