Clemson University, Clemson SC
- Jacob G. Schaetzel of Collinsville has been named to the Dean's List at Clemson University for the fall 2016 semester. Schaetzel is majoring in General Engineering. To be named to the Dean's List, a student achieved a grade-point average between 3.50 and 3.99 on a 4.0 scale.
Ithaca College, Ithaca NY

- Hope Hiza, a resident of Collinsville and Health major, was named to the Dean's List in Ithaca College's School of Health Sciences and Human Performance for the fall 2016 semester.
Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester NY
- A pair of Canton residents made the Dean's List at Rochester Institute of Technology for fall semester 2016-2017. They are Walter Dylag, who is studying in the civil engineering technology program, and Deryk Parsons, who is studying in the chemical engineering program. Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.

- Wheaton College student Emily Guersch of Collinsville performed in a viola and clarinet recital on campus, then played clarinet in a Symphonic Band concert. The Wheaton College Symphonic Band performs traditional and contemporary wind band music. It is composed of both music majors and liberal arts majors who enjoy a close community and sharing their musical gifts. Guersch is a Music Performance major in the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music, which provides students with comprehensive instruction that cultivates creativity, proficiency, and achievement in a Christ-centered environment.
