- Jessica Lyons of Collinsville was named to the Emmanuel College Dean's List for the spring 2017 semester. To earn a spot on the Dean's List, students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for a 16-credit semester.

- Amanda Curvino, of Canton, was named to Susquehanna University's dean's list for the spring 2017 semester. The dean's list recognizes students who achieve a grade point average of 3.4 or higher out of a possible 4.0 for the semester. To qualify, students must complete a minimum of 12 semester hours. Curvino is an undeclared graduate in the Class of 2017. A 2013 graduate of Canton High School, she is the daughter of Ed and Barbara Curvino.
University of Hartford, West Hartford CT
- A pair of Canton residents were among the approximately 1,000 graduates who received their degrees at the University of Hartford's Undergraduate Commencement on Sunday, May 21: Dylan Thomas, a management major in the University's Barney School of Business, received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration; and Kyle Murphy, a health science major (physical therapy) in the University's College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions, received a Bachelor of Science.
