College of Saint Rose, Albany NY

• The College of Saint Rose congratulates Abigail Sevigny of Canton for being named to the Dean's List for the spring 2017 semester. Sevigny is one of 704 students to achieve this mark of academic excellence. To make the Dean's List, Sevigny had to complete a minimum of 12 credit hours and achieve a semester grade-point average of at least 3.5 with no grades of D, F, Incomplete or Pass/Fail.

Roger Williams University, Bristol RI

• Four students from Canton have been named to the spring 2017 Dean's List at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I.: Margaret Bidwell, Brett Frank, Nathan Hanson and Thomas Turon. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester.

St. Lawrence University, Canton NY

• Four local students have been selected for inclusion on the Dean's List for academic achievement during the spring 2017 semester at St. Lawrence University. They are Katherine B. Angus of Weatogue, a member of the Class of 2020 who attended Simsbury High School; Emma M. Gailey of Simsbury, a member of the Class of 2018 majoring in global studies who attended Cheshire Academy; Katharine G. Hovey of Simsbury, a member of the Class of 2018 majoring in Estudios Hispanicos and business in the liberal arts who attended Westminster School; and Morgan E. Ryan of West Simsbury, a member of the Class of 2020 who attended Simsbury High School. To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must have completed at least four courses and have an academic average of 3.6 based on a 4.0 scale for the semester.

University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa AL

• University of Alabama student Alexander B. Boonvanostade of Canton was named to the Dean's List for spring 2017. A total of 11,101 students enrolled during the 2017 spring semester at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students.

Wheaton College, Wheaton IL

• Wheaton College student Emily Guersch of Collinsville was named to the Dean's List for the spring 2017 semester. To earn Dean's List honors at Wheaton, an undergraduate student must carry 12 or more credit hours and achieve a 3.5 grade point average or higher on the 4.0 scale.
