Canton Blizzard 2015: What You Need to Know About This Potentially Historic Snowstorm

As the state and the entire Northeast prepares for an historic blizzard, we will bring you the latest weather related news that will affect your day.
According to the National Weather Service, a blizzard warning is in effect from Jan. 26, 1 p.m. until Jan. 28, 12 a.m. A coastal flood watch is in effect from Jan. 27 3 a.m. until Jan. 27 7 a.m. All unnecessary travel is discouraged beginning this afternoon.
While 1-3 inches of snow is expected to accumulate during the day, the heavy snow along with strong winds is expected to start after 7 p.m. The NWS is predicting a possible accumulation of 9-13 inches of snow tonight.

- Today Snow. High near 21. North wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
- Tonight Snow with areas of blowing snow. The snow could be heavy at times. Low around 18. North wind 14 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 9 to 13 inches possible.
- Tuesday Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. High near 21. North wind 14 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 39 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 9 to 13 inches possible.
- Tuesday Night Snow likely, mainly before 1am. Cloudy, with a low around 12. Northwest wind 9 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.
- Wednesday A slight chance of snow showers before 9am. Partly sunny, with a high near 25. Northwest wind 10 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
