Canton Conservation Commission Seeking Input on Farms

A Right to Farm Ordinance is being created in town.

Editor’s note: We published this story earlier in the week, but here it is again in case you missed it.

The Canton Conservation Commission is in the process of creating a Right to Farm Ordinance. After an informal presentation of the ordinance to the Board of Selectmen in August, it was suggested that a Food Producing Farm Inventory be put on the town website.

This inventory allows residents (and especially farmers) to see the compiled information and provide an opportunity to add any additional farms that are missing, any error in acreages of cropland, unknown produced crops and so forth.
