Canton Cops To Collect Cash For Special Olympics

CANTON, CT — The Canton Police Department will host a roadside fundraiser this weekend to benefit Special Olympics Connecticut athletes.

Officers plan to conduct a “coin drop” on Saturday, May 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. along Albany Turnpike (Route 44) in front of The Shops at Farmington Valley.

Police will be stationed at the intersection collecting cash and coin donations from passing motorists.

Proceeds will support Special Olympics Connecticut’s year-round sports, health, and fitness programs for athletes of all abilities.
