Canton Crews Tackling Collinsville For Large Snow Cleanup Operation

The operation will take place early Friday morning, with residents urged to avoid parking their vehicles on the roadside.

CANTON, CT — Town crews will be active Friday morning clearing the massive piles of snow in the downtown Collinsville area.

Local officials said the operation will take place from 2 to 7 a.m., with the Canton Department of Public Works cleaning up the town's quaint downtown section.

"We ask that no vehicles be parked on these roads during this time," wrote the town Thursday.

As a reminder, an overnight parking ban is in effect on all town streets from Nov. 15, 2025 to April 1, 2026.

People can still use the Canton Town Hall parking lot for overnight parking, but they must register with the Canton Police Department at 860-693-0221. For more information, contact the Canton Public Works Department at 860-693-7863.
