Canton Dollars For Scholars Announces 2022 Scholarship Winners

The community-funded program awarded 71 scholarships totaling nearly $100,000 to graduating seniors in the area.

Canton Dollars for Scholars announced the recipients of the 2022 scholarships on June 2. This was a great group of students moving on to further education with a strong record of success in high school. Canton Dollars for Scholars is funded through community support and through your generosity, we were able to award 71 scholarships this year for nearly $100,000. Many of these scholarships are sponsored, with the remainder funded by the community via donations and fundraiser, the Collinsville Trick or Trot 5K, near the end of October. We are grateful to the sponsors, community and the runers for allowing us to continue to award the scholarships to deserving students again each year.

Canton Dollars for Scholars seeks the well-rounded student who is achieving his or her personal best grades while serving the school, community and the greater good. CDFS focuses on school involvement, work and community commitments. These students are all going on to further education through college or technical school.
