Canton FD Promotes Four After Busy Month

CANTON, CT — The town's fire and emergency services department Monday announced the promotion of four key figures in its ranks.

The Canton Fire & EMS Department said the four new promotions— for line officer roles — are:

• Stephen Goeben-fire lieutenant

• Robert Weed-fire lieutenant

• Jeff Johnson- fire police lieutenant

• Kendall Bilts- captain of EMS

Those promotions come after the department announced a very busy January for the smalltown fire company, which responded to 166 total calls for the month.

The department reported 43 fire calls and 123 medical emergency calls, according to the department.
