Canton FD Seeks Applicants For Free CPR Class

Space is limited for the Nov. 9 program, so early registration is urged.

CANTON, CT —The Town of Canton Fire & EMS Department announced Friday it is seeking students for a free CPR certification class next month.

The class will take place on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or 1 to 5 p.m. that day at the new Canton firehouse on 51 River Road, Canton.

"Join us to gain vital lifesaving skills and help prepare our community," wrote the fire department.

Spaces are limited, so folks are asked to register as soon as possible.

Also helping with the class is Northeast Fire Rescue,a Harwinton-based fire and emergency medical services staffing agency utilized by many municipalities.

Those interested in applying can register by scanning a QR code associated with a flyer on the class visible through social media.
