Canton's Lobsterfest Promises Full Stomachs
The 41st annual Canton Fire Co. 1 Lobsterfest is taking place Friday and Saturday.

CANTON, CT — Just because the Town of Canton is located off the Farmington River and not, say, Long Island Sound, doesn't mean it can't love its lobster.
Which is why the seafood delicacy is front and center to the Canton Fire Co. 1's 41st annual Lobsterfest event, which takes place Friday, Aug. 18, and Saturday, Aug. 19, at the department's headquarters at 14 Canton Springs Road, Canton.
In addition to a ton of delicious seafood, the festival will have live entertainment, stuff for the kids such as the Saturday "touch-a-truck" event and, even, plenty of eats for folks who don't like to break a claw and suck out meat.

If lobster is not your thing, then there are hot dogs, hamburgers, fries, chicken fingers and other summertime fare for sale.
As for the grogg, beer, wine and soda will also be available for sale and the CVFD's famous desert bar will be open in Ellsworth Hall on the site.
Proceeds benefit Canton Fire Co 1.
