Canton to Get First Town Poet Laureate, Historian

Four people are in the running to become Canton’s first poet laureate in hopes of boosting the town’s art community.

Members of the Canton Main Street Project proposed the idea earlier this year, according to the Hartford Courant.

Additionally the Board of Selectmen will appoint a town historian on Nov. 12.
