Canton High School Runners Experience Success at State Cross Country Championships

MANCHESTER, CT — Canton High School will be well-represented Friday in the State Open cross country championships.

The girls team qualified by virtue of their third-place showing in Class SS Saturday at the CIAC class meets at Wickham Park. Five Warriors placed in the top 35.

In the boys SS race, Maximillian Sparks wound up second, just five seconds behind champion Daniel Schumann of Haddam-Killingworth, to make it into the State Open as an individual.
