Canton Home Demolished

A condemned home in Canton has been torn down, reports the Hartford Courant.

The home at the intersection of Bahre Corner Road and Lawton Road was condemned this winter after a consultant said that the house had become structurally unsound.

The town’s building inspector and fire marshal also checked the house and both said it was unsafe.

Some of the issues with the house, which was built in the 1800s, related to hoarding.
