CANTON, CT — Many towns have hiking groups and many town libraries have book groups that discuss a particular book.

But the Canton Public Library has an organization that does both — the "Walking Book Discussion."

It meets on Saturday, June 17, at the Nepaug Reservoir on Route 202, where participants get together to talk about the book and, at the same time, enjoy that area's rustic scenery.

This week's book is "The Kitchen Boy" by Robert Alexander, copies of which are available at the library, located at 40 Dyer Avenue.

"The Kitchen Boy" is about Leonka, who was the Romanov family's kitchen boy during the Russian Revolution in 1917.
