Canton Library Offers Hoops Hall Discounts
The discounts to the National Basketball Hall of Fame were provided courtesy of the Friends of the Canton Public Library.

CANTON, CT — The Canton Public Library has a new discount pass for a New England museum that celebrates something near and dear to Connecticut — basketball.
The library recently announced it has obtained special discount passes to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Mass., just a shot over the border off Interstate 91.
Of course, basketball and Connecticut go hand-in-hand, with two legendary University of Connecticut basketball coaches (Jim Calhoun and Geno Auriemma) enshrined there.

Also enshrined in the hall of fame is former UConn star Ray Allen, who played in the state from 1993-94 to 1995-96. He went on to have a legendary, championship-winning NBA career.
Also having a legendary career in basketball is former UConn women's star Rebecca Lobo, who played from 1991-92 to 1994-95, when UConn won its first-ever basketball national title, men or women. She went on to play in the WNBA, the Olympics and is an accomplished broadcaster.
