Canton Library Seeks Teen Summer Volunteers

The young volunteers would help out with the library's 'Book Buddies' programs.

CANTON, CT — Local teens looking to volunteer for their community this summer (and earn some college application points later) are asked to contact the Canton Public Library to become a "buddy" to younger residents.

Young people age 13 and up can Join one or all of the library's Book Buddies programs.

Volunteers must be 13 and up, or be entering grade 8.

Interested individuals can apply on the library website.

Book Buddies applications are due by June 14 with a required orientation on June 18.

Art & Science Buddies should apply ASAP.

There are a limited number of volunteer spaces available for these programs and candidates will be contacted for interviews on a rolling basis.
