Canton Library To Unveil Unique Book Club
The new 'Cozy Quiet Book Group' Saturday will allow folks to sit and quietly read after the library closes for the day.
CANTON, CT — If you're looking for a nice, quiet place to read but can't because your house is too ... shall we say ... "loud," the Canton Public Library can help.
On Saturday, the library is offering quiet, distraction-free reading and, even, some refreshments and book talk if you so choose.
The library, which is located at 40 Dyer Ave., Canton, has created the new "Cozy Quiet Book Group."

"Settle into a comfy chair with your book (bring your own or find one here. We have plenty) and spend an hour reading and enjoying light refreshments," reads a library announcement on the new program.
After 3:30 p.m., the library will open up a conversation space for anyone who wants to chat about what they're reading.
Or folks can just read for the whole hour if they choose.
No registration is required, but participants are asked to just be sure to arrive before 3 p.m.
