Canton Nature Center Program A Perfect Mother's Day Gift
The Roaring Brook Nature Center Sunday, May 12, is hosting a special 'Mother's Day Wildflower Walk & Talk' program.

CANTON, CT — The local nature center in Canton has a unique Mother's Day event planned for Sunday that goes beyond just brunch and giving mom a bouquet of flowers.
The Roaring Brook Nature Center, 70 Gracey Road, Canton, is hosting its annual "Mother's Day Wildflower Talk & Walk" on Sunday, May 12.
This program takes the tradition of Mother's Day flowers and adds in a heaping dose of education, fun, and light exercise.

It starts at 1 p.m., where a center expert will discuss the spring wildflowers visible this time of year in Connecticut, where to find them, and how to identify them.
Then, from 2 to 2:30 p.m., participants will enjoy a relaxing, guided walk through the center's native plant gardens to try and find/identify wildflowers.

The program costs $11 each or $36 for a family of four, with preregistration required.
