Canton Obituary: Constance Rowles, 74

Constance Ann (Yamilkoski) Rowles, 74, of Canton, wife of the late Sherman Royce Rowles, died Monday, June 20, 2016 at her home.

She was born July 24, 1941 in Southampton, MA, daughter of the late Alexander and Magdalana (Obuchowska) Yamilkoski and had lived in Easthampton, MA prior to moving to Canton 46 years ago. She dedicated her life to helping others. Constance was a Registered Nurse at St. Mary Home in West Hartford for many years prior to her retirement. She was an award winning quilter and enjoyed gardening, traveling, sewing, crocheting, and cooking.

She is survived by her sister, Alexandria Moynihan and her husband James of Easthampton, MA; her two sons: David Gilbertson and his wife Laura of West Haven and Thomas Gilbertson and his wife Ginger of Cromwell; and her grandchildren: Violet and Lily Gilbertson of Cromwell, Erik Wicander and his wife Allyson of Granby, and Crystal Lerz-Gugliotti and her husband David of Waterbury along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Robert Gilbertson, her daughter, Rebecca Wicander, her son-in-law David Wicander, her brother, Chester Yamilkoski, her sister, Frances Sarazin and a nephew, Kirk Yamilkoski.

Friends may call at the Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike in Canton on Friday, June 24th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Her funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 25th. Burial will be private.
