
James A. Waletzko, 73, of Canton, died Friday, September 18, 2015 at his home.
He was born November 20, 1941 in Holdingford, MN, son of the late Alois and Theresa (Kolodjeski) Waletzko and had lived in Minnesota prior to moving to Canton 40 years ago. James graduated from and taught at St. John’s University in Minnesota as well as earning a Master’s degree in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He was a hobbyist computer programmer, sold high-end scientific lasers, owned a computer repair company, and eventually retired as a self-employed software developer in 2014. In his personal time he enjoyed reading, riding motorbikes, and skydiving as well as power paragliding.
He is survived by his two sons, Scott Waletzko of Richmond, VA and Evan Waletzko of Columbus, OH and his sister, Patricia Waletzko of St. Paul, MN.
