Canton Obituary: Joyce Bidlack, 88

Condolences to her family and friends.

Joyce Ellen (Smith, Munn) Bidlack died peacefully at home at the age of 88 in Canton. She joins her predeceased infant daughter, Elizabeth Ann Munn, her husband Gordon Bidlack, parents Robert and Sarah Smith, sisters, Jeanne Donnell and Dorothy Franzese and brother-in-law Albert, brother Robert Smith and sister-in-law, Marry.

Joyce leaves two children Richard Keith Munn of Avon, Mary Kay Nason of Canton, and three grandchildren, Andrew (Evelina) Nason of Wayland, MA, Sarah (Tim) Ringuette of Farmington, and Laurie (Ken) Kelly of Scituate, MA. She also leaves five great-grandchildren, Anna, George, Abigail, Ella and Kailer and many nieces and nephews.

Joyce was born in Valois, New York on January 19, 1928. She graduated high school in Watkins Glen, NY during World War II in 1945. Joyce married Gordon, a military veteran, on April 14, 1972 in Dewitt, NY. She worked for many years as an executive secretary and real estate agent.

She lived in Canton for more than 40 years and loved being with her family and friends. Joyce enjoyed gardening, walking, golf, horse racing and a good read. She enjoyed many peaceful afternoons on her patio watching the wildlife and birds. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

Joyce will be interred in Hector, NY alongside her parents on her beloved Seneca Lake. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
