Canton Obituary: Kathleen Lines, 68

Kathleen Moran Lines, 68, passed away on July 2, 2016.

She was born on December 26, 1947 in Hartford, the daughter of the late Catherine and Sidney Lines. She lived her childhood in Windsor, and has since lived in Canton, East Hartland, Windsor, Bloomfield and Simsbury.

She is survived by her beloved life partner, Thomas Moran of Windsor, her daughter Christine Moran and her life partner Dennis Bardelli and their children Tristan and Silas of Maryland, her son Stephen Moran and his wife Laura and their children Bryan and Elise of Maryland; her sister Elizabeth Gilson and her husband Richard of Florida; her sister Meg Lines of Bloomfield and her brother Tom Lines and his wife, Deborah of South Windsor and several nieces and nephews and their children.

Kathi attended UConn and later worked as a dental assistant in an office of pediatric dentistry in Windsor and loved working with children. She was very athletic and had a strong fighting spirit, accomplishing many things beyond expectations. Kathi was a passionate horse enthusiast who for many years after suffering a stroke, enjoyed riding horses as part of a wonderful therapy program at Manes & Motions in Middletown.

Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Windsor Health and Rehabilitation for their loving care of Kathi on many occasions over the last several years.

Kathleen's family will receive friends on Thursday, July 7, 2016 from 4-7 p.m. at Carmon Funeral Home 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Friday, July 8, 2016 at Sacred Heart Church, 26 Wintonbury Ave., Bloomfield. A private burial service will be held at a later date.
